SD Trails

  • Black Hills National Forest Trail System

One of the most popular off-road areas in the region, the Black Hills offer hundreds of miles of trails through pine forests, granite formations, and scenic overlooks. Trails range from easy cruising routes to more technical sections, making it ideal for all skill levels.

  • Nemo / Pilot Knob Trail Area

A favorite for riders in the Black Hills, this area offers scenic climbs, winding forest roads, and incredible viewpoints like Pilot Knob. It’s a great mix of relaxing trail riding and rewarding views.

  • Buffalo Gap National Grassland (Badlands Area)

Located near the Badlands, this area offers a more rugged and open riding experience. Expect rolling hills, dirt trails, and wide-open terrain that feels completely different from the forested Black Hills.

  • Custer State Park Scenic Roads (Street-Legal Routes)

While not traditional off-road trails, Custer State Park offers incredible scenic driving routes for street-legal rigs. With tunnels, granite spires, and frequent wildlife sightings (including buffalo), it’s a must-do experience when visiting the area.
