Wyoming offers some of the most wide-open and rugged off-road terrain in the country. From high alpine mountain passes to remote desert basins, it’s a state built for riders who want space, freedom, and real adventure. With fewer crowds and massive public land access, Wyoming delivers a raw off-road experience you won’t find in more populated trail systems.

MN Trails

  • Wind River Range Trails

The Wind River Range offers some of the most scenic and remote off-road trails in Wyoming. Expect rocky climbs, alpine lakes, and breathtaking mountain views. These trails are less developed than many others, making them ideal for riders looking for a true backcountry experience.

  • Bighorn Mountains Trail System

A well-known system with a mix of forest trails, ridge riding, and high-elevation passes. The Bighorns offer a great balance between scenic cruising and technical sections, making it a popular destination for both ATV and UTV riders.

  • Killpecker Sand Dunes (Red Desert)

One of the largest active dune fields in North America, Killpecker Sand Dunes offers open riding across massive sand formations. It’s a completely different experience from mountain trails, with wide-open space and the chance to see wild horses in the area.

  • Bear Lodge Mountains (Black Hills Region – WY Side)

Located in northeastern Wyoming, this area connects into the greater Black Hills trail systems. Riders can expect forested trails, rolling hills, and long-distance routes that make for great day rides or multi-day trips.
